It is amazing to see the renewed interest in the art of woodturning. People of all ages and walks of life are wanting to learn more about this fascinating form of art. The Bluegrass Area Woodturners (BAW) seeks to inspire, educate, and share with folks in the greater Bluegrass area the technical and artistic aspects and fun of lathe-turned work.

If you ever thought about trying woodturning, we encourage you to contact BAW and come to our next meeting or gathering. It is generally agreed the best way to start this new fascination is to join a local group and BAW is dedicated to the education, preservation and inspiration of the art of woodturning. BAW is a chapter of the American Association of Woodturners and we encourage each of our members to join the American Association of Woodturners.

Please take the time to browse our web site, and in it you will find pictures of turnings, information on where and when we meet, and links to web sites of turners and woodturning tool manufacturers. You are always welcome to contact us with any questions or send us information that you think may be of interest to the members of our organization.
